Away in a manger,

Wrapped in spare cloths,

To the world a stranger-

Who would die on a cross.

Ordinary He came,

Just like you and me,

Only seeking to serve and to save-

All the lost, broken and dying-

His birth was the key.

God sent forth His Son,

From the glories of Heaven to the sinfulness of earth,

From King of kings to mere human,

All for one purpose-

To give us second birth!

As we close out 2025 and enter into a New Year may we remember the gift God sent us of His Son. His love wrapped up for us all so we could live a life in relationship with Him. He fully knows us and still fully loves us. May we enter into 2026 with confidence in that knowing and walk with Him into all He has for us! Let us be One Dawning Light to the world, sharing His good news in 2026!

But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 5:8 NASB
